- Kota di Inggris ini mengubah namanya menjadi sangat panjang hingga diabadikan sebagai desa dengan nama terpanjang di dunia. Ini dilakukan untuk menarik wisatawan.

Dengan 58 huruf, desa ini memiliki nama Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, menjadikannya desa dengan nama terpanjang di Inggris dan juga di dunia. Desa ini terletak di Pulau Anglesey, Wales Utara, dan dulunya memiliki nama yang lebih pendek, yaitu Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll.

Namun pada 1860an, untuk menarik turis, desa ini mengubahnya menjadi sepanjang itu. Strategi ini berhasil karena wisatawan memang kerap datang untuk berfoto di stasiun kereta desa ini, yang memajang nama panjangnya.

Papan nama kota yang bernama unik ini bukanlah satu-satunya penarik wisatawan. Kota ini juga memiliki stasiun bergaya Victorian, toko yang memamerkan lokomotif kereta uap kuno, dan pertokoan souvenir serta kerajinan tangan khas Wales.
